Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
Lead warehouse architecture, dimensional modelling and migration workstreams for enterprise reporting platforms with strong performance, governance and operational controls.
Job description
The Senior Data Warehouse Engineer will own design quality across warehouse, lakehouse and semantic-layer workstreams and support migration from legacy analytical platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Lead target data-model and warehouse architecture decisions.
- Review ETL/ELT design, history management, reconciliation and performance.
- Plan legacy warehouse migration and cutover with validation and rollback controls.
- Mentor engineers and establish modelling and testing standards.
- Coordinate with BI, governance and platform teams on release and support.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of data-warehouse or analytics-platform engineering experience.
- Advanced SQL, dimensional modelling and warehouse performance expertise.
- Experience leading enterprise data migrations or modernisation programmes.
Preferred qualifications
- Data Vault, Snowflake, Fabric, Synapse or Databricks experience.
- Strong data-governance and lineage knowledge.
- Experience in regulated environments.
